i can get ebc pads for the front.
ebc dont actually make a pad for the early rx7 which is a "DB40" but i spent a whole day flicking through a catalogue and found an alfa pad which is pretty much spot on except for the height which doesnt matter anyway.

iv been using them in my series 2 for about a year and had no probs, going to fc upgrade now though

I'm also interested in Hawk pads, and thinking of buying them direct online from the US (assuming cheaper than in Aust), but not sure where to get them from - anyone done this for pads?

I have bought from GMP in the past, just presumed pads would be cheaper (maybe a lot, Hawk pads are bloody expensive :( ) buying direct from the US.

I'm going through this at the moment, and I dont believe Hawk do a pad for the S2

Call up and speak to Gaz from V-Sport, they can get custom Ferodo pads cut for you

hey mate,

I just sold a complete race upgrade braking system from my S2 with Brand new Hawk HP Plus pads, in other words, they DO do sets for the S2 front and rear. And they are excellent, by far the best ive ever used. Call Izzy at Selectmaz in Melbourne, a whole set willl cost you about $250. They are worth it.

Cheers Tony

I just got some hawk pads from the states for my capella which also run a db40 pad up front (and I have s2 brakes on the rear) They're great so far. They weren't cheap though!

I reckon I've had the same Hawk pads on for 3 years now, maybe 20+ track days and they're still in great shape so they're probably worth the cost, although some may say I don't drive fast enough.... :D

got mine from hawkpadsdirect I think they're called - some US website. They were the cheapest I could find at the time. Still expensive

HP plus for the front and black for the back.

Bought some today from GMP racing products for AU$132 including postage, only for fronts on S1 rx7. Is that an ok price?

Thanks Ben. That site looks great, definitely going to be buying some from there I think, just got to check part numbers. The prices looked good to me.

So I'm just about to buy a new set of HP plus front pads for the Capella.

Does anybody know if there is a race capable db40 pad available locally? I want to get them before my next track day at Winton. I'll probably just buy from hawkpadsdirect.com again, unless someone knows of a reasonably priced local reseller.

Suggestions anyone?
