Are there any body check dimensions available for the S3?
Have tried checking on http://www.iwankel.com/ but its like 2 pages short of the info!!! ](*,)
The info needed for myself is the distance between crossmember bolts, and what these dimensions reference off.
Would measure one, but dont have access to one as yet.
Cheers

Just had a quick look in my repro workshop manual, there is a chassis suppliment for 1976 which includes the diff ratio change, steering tierod end change and the LCA/swaybar change, but it does not have a new body checking dimension. I would hazard a guess the body checking dimensions stay the same as for the earlier vehicles.

Does this mean I could put 76- crossmember and A arm suspension into my RX-4? possibly even from an RX-5?

Oh well. Was sorta looking into getting a 121 car for parts for my 73 RX-4 rally car. I already put 929L front struts in so was going to use the 121 rear axles, disc brakes etc. and woulda been nice to slot in the S3 style front end too.

At the start off this thread is was said production finished mid 76, I'm pretty sure my rx4 is 10/77 but I'd have to confirm, just thought I'd add my bit

No problem. This section has special posting restrictions so let me know if you have any troubles editing your original post and I've sort it out.

Meanwhile, circle_w3rk already scanned and uploaded the rx4 workshop manual here: http://www.ausrotary.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=112921

You might want to link in the original post.

yes they do. In the parts book there is the indication of the triangle two times (Aug. 1974 and April 1977) but they fit.
(Δ="a new part can be used in place of the old part but an old part can not be used in place of new part")
