Rear quarter rust repair sections on ebay (still waiting for someone to do boot floor sections, ie above the muffler). Also fiberglass front end parts. Guards, stone tray etc. There was fiberglass boot lids for Rx3 coupes, not sure about Rx2 though.

I own a 6/1971 rx2 coupe that has "coffin" front seats with the antelope badges front and rear. I also have a 11/1972 rx2 sedan that I believe does not have the "coffin" style front seat, BUT the sedan seats have been retrimmed 90's spec and want to change back to original..

My question is.. What rx2s have "coffin" style front seats from factory as I think these look great.

Thanks, great thread!

Okay yes my coupe is in New Zealand and my Sedan is in Perth.

I see in the notes earlier someone states the Rx2 was bought into Australia October 1970 but I have just panel and painted a friends Rx2 coupe build date 9/1970. Yes someone has demolished the numbers but you can clearly see the build date.. Yes it's build date not import date but still.... Is this the first rx2 in the country??? We will never know....

And no this is not the body tag off the car in the background ;)

Coffin seats in NZ assembled rx2 and 616.

6/71 is a bit early for a nz assembled car though.

All NZ ass. cars are; s2 (basically late '73, 1974) s122an000xxx (616 snan), and s3 (1975) s122an100xxx.
I've never seen a factory coffin seat in anything but a s2 or s3 nz ass. rx2/616.
And yes, antelope and armrest on rx2, neither on 616.

short answer is no.

They i only came in mph. Late in 1972 production twin distributor models got the mph speedo with the small kilometres per hour scale on the inside. These will fit as a direct replacement but are not technically for the square headlight model.

here is the part number, production month change and chassis number change for the mph/kmh combined speedo - 2875 75 101A - from 11/1972 production and Chassis No. 153580 >
