1.In 1967 Norways first Mazda were sold, a 1500 sedan.
2.First rotary, the R-100 10A (rumored 51 units)
3.RX2 Coupe 12A
4.RX3 Coupe 10A
5.RX4 Coupe 13B (1was taken in by the importer,3 originally headed for Sweden found the way to Norway thanks to effort by local Mazda dealers in Norway)None of these cars is confirmed alive, but it is highly possible that 1 of the 3 "sweden" cars are still around somewhere. The rest of the RX4,only 4 confirmed alive, 2 pointy nose,2 merc front are from US/Sweden, including mine pointy nose from sweden. All have 13B 5speed exept for the one pointy nose US that have 4 Speed.
6.RX5. Norway did not get the RX5. Probably all cars here are from Sweden. We did get the 121 and 121L. Only with the 2.0. Norway did not get the 1.8 in the 121.

Anyone care to guess how many RX5s are left in Australia?
By the looks of it the total sales were not that high, and for every RX5 5 speed out there there's either one less RX5 or an RX5 without a gearbox.

rotting or running?

Less than 2000 sold right? At a guess, taking away accidents, scavenged RX5's for their 13B, 5 speed, 28 spline diff before the turbo/9 inch scene started and probably saved them from extinction, 100 australia wide :?:

I know of maybe 10 in WA. Seen around 20 running and registered in 13 years on street and in workshops. Major workshops here now dont see hardly any of them anymore.
Be good to know what each RX5 owner has seen in their own state.

Ive only sent 1 RX5 to its death/Sims Metal.

France certainly got the Rx-5 (and 121 and 121 Landau). I know of at least 3 survivors. One of which is mine:

I think Belgium and Holland also got them but I don't know for sure. They certainly got the 121 and the 121 Landau.

I have seen them (RX5) alive in Austria and W. Germany at late 70s early 80s, they were at the cars magazines also. I concluded that they were never imported to France as I dont remember any magazines giving prices or detaled data for that cars, only 121, but obviously I am wrong. I dont possess magazines of the early RX5 era though/ I ll go back and look once again.

Your RX5 is perfect. That was the color of most the RX5 I ve seen.

That is one spectacularly well preserved car - well done - what a beauty! And you must be a unique collector to have one in France. My Grandad was mad on Simcas and we had a yard full of them to keep his on the road!
