I am not sure if this has been found before but does anybody else recall the special S2 that was imported to Australia then couldn't sell even for the cheap price it was and then onshipped to a buyer in the UK?

Just curious if the pics in this link is the same car? Going on the colour and interior could be but it is missing the special grille badge.

WOW!, I remember the car that you mean and would have loved to have owned it. I often wondered what happened to it as it seemed to disapear into thin air. If thats it, it seems it found someone who loves it!

Does anyone know of any other Cosmo's of that era?

In the comments below the picture before the one you posted, there is this information;

This is my car, I will give a little info. It was one of the rotary engined cars made to celebrate Mazda's 60th anniversary it is known as a "60th Anniversary Mazda Cosmo RE-130", made only for the Japanees market. 4 cars were known to exist, mine here in England and 3 in Japan but 2 have not been heard of for many years so do they still exist? So now only the 2 are definiatly known to exist and to be on the road worldwide. Mine is totally original and has done less than 30.000 miles.

The very fact that the one you saw advertised was in light metalic blue,
Confirms the fact that it was NOT a 60th anniverersary edition as thay was only made in metalic burgundy. They had white leather seats and matching colour seat belts e.t.c. e.t.c
They also had double body flashes either side of the body side strip, which unfortunatly mine is missing as they were taken off by the owner when it was in Australia. If you are interested look on youtube under 60th anniversary Cosmo RE-130 and the only other one Known to be on the road can be seen.

Could be the car you're talking about... It looks bloody tidy too!

I so regret not having quite enough money to buy that car, it was so cheap. I have further pictures of it in Aus!

Can someone help me out with a transmission question.

How much qts of transmission oil does the 13B Automatic use?
My tranny has been slipping lately like really bad. When I went to check my tranny oil it was like bone dry :stupid: .
I went to add a whole quart in it and still hasn't showed up on the dipstick yet.

Dennis is spot on.
13.1 US Pints or 10.2 IMP Pints or 6.6 US Quarts or 6.2 Metric litres from empty.
it takes about 1 US Pint / .08 IMP Pints / 1/2 a quart/ .45 Metric litre to get it from the low mark to full mark on the gauge.
Taken From the WS Manual for the 3 Speed Jatco.
The tranny should be warmed up for 2 minutes at least and shifted through the full range before testing at idle.

Just thought I would add to the totals of rx5 in Australia.

I have 3.

1 as a sleeper... (full rebuilt including nuts and bolts)... over 30k spent on this.
1 original but needs resto (rust around the tail lights and needs panel work)
1 with a s4 turbo on straight gas. Needs paint as faded but as straight as a die

Sad to say that I have wrecked 2 in the past and one 121L.. (long time ago before I appreciated them) Mainly for driveline like everybody else.
