Now that, is really sad to see! Cosmos really don't deserve to die like that BUT, the driver walked away because they are built like a Sherman tank!
Now I miss mine all over again! :(

So a few weeks ago I was headed home and spotted an 808 coupe out the corner of my eye 300 meters into a paddock..

Today i stopped and grabbed a few pics over the fence.
There it was, rusty 808 coupe, and there was 2 929 wagons in the distance.

I didn't want to risk jumping the fence due to the apparent state of "shotgun law"

Stu

Haha, have always wondered how no one had noticed this where it is...
It's a good mate's oldie's joint.
There is also a 1300 floating around there with a 202 we used to rally around the joint, an 808 we cut in half and cut the back door/seat section out and welded it back together, tailshaft was about 40cm long... And a Capella, Torana's, 120y coupe, etc, all rooted now !!
The brown 929 wagon had no brakes and we came onto the highway from the intersection there flat out and sideways, in front off a B-Double semi, knocking the mirror off, truck was doing easy 110 on highway, another one of the many moments i was lucky to be alive, told him to get "DRDETH" plates on it...

Actually Stu, remember how i was saying an apprentice beater mate did the work on that schmick white 10a RX3 that you owned in the 90's, ((DID.102 plates if i remember, always regretted offloading her)) then Robbo owned, then i owned, then back to Robbo, then back to you
That's where all the work was done to it, in a shed that used to be against the big old bus you would have seen there, all those cars out ther were schmicko then, even those LJ street stockers we used to run at the old drome.

Another mate around same area has an RX4 Sedan you may remember Stu, he bought from Central Coast around early to mid 90's, was Canary yellow and tidy, he actually swapped a Cyan blue Corolla for it !!
He took it home out there, stripped it, bought all new bits, sprayed it Candy Apple Red, threw in a Ken Gough 13BT, simmons,
etc, got it ready for rego, and it has sat like that in the shed ever since.

Bit of a story there for ya :)

Grand Junction road Mazda wreckers.
That black 808 is so rusty I think the paint is the only thing keeping it from crumbling away.
