Wow, that's cool!! I recall going for a drive in stock Rx7's as a kid and loving it, then we started shoe horning standard 13bt's in our Mazda's and they blew our socks off!!
These days most of us would jump into that 13bt FB and fall asleep with that mild conversion!!! Its come a long way hasn't it

Nice video! I remember the day I picked my RX-7 up, I thought it was so fast. I didn't drive it very hard when I tested it, but once I was far enough from the seller's house I floored it from a standing start. At that point it was the quickest car I had driven (I was 18).

Nowadays, it feels extremely slow, but the fact that it never breaks down always stops me from wanting to do anything about this.

So true to both of your comments. My experience was the same. There was also something cool about the rev buzzer to let you know you were flogging the engine. This video shows a stock s4 engine which at 135kw is a pretty tame setup even compared to modern day family cars

don't get me wrong though, even a 12A can still be fun. I look back fondly at my previous setup: unopened 12A, exhaust, modified carb and 4.44 diff. That was pretty fun, super reliable and still chirped the tyres every gear change. I just watch this video to remind myself I made the right decision to move forward with a 13B turbo setup.
