104, that's one of the best 1500 I've seen in a long time, a real credit to you.

How did you get it so low, air bags?

Please let us know.

Cheers

zumazzoommm : Thanks for comment.
My Luce low custom is front spring cut, short stroke front shock, 4 inch block of rear.
Air bags are not used.

But this custom work was done by an acquaintance.
Therefore, i can not explain well.
So sorry.

^^^ Looks very tidy. The wagon front looks really nice. Kind of leans down a bit.

I hoping to wake up this thread. I recently purchased a 1972 1800 estate wagon that I'm converting to racecar/trackday car. I'd like to get as much info on suspension and drivetrain set-up as to make the car competitive. The plan is to run a 12a bridgeport, 600# frt. springs, very large front swaybar, posi disc brake rearend with swaybar and wide offset wheels.
Input wanted.
Pictures soon.

Hi y'all!

I'm from Norway, and new to this forum, and to old Mazda's :)

I recently purchased a 1969 1500 that has only 60.000 km on the odo. It is all original. Except the wheels that I've put on it. Found them localy. They are blanks that have been drilles for 4x120 PCD.

The left front fender is the only part of the car I can see that have been resprayed.

My plan is to lower the car in the front. Change all the door rubber and the felt channel for the door windows. They are in a bad condition. I'm also thinking of puting a 1800 from a 929 in it, with dual webers or dellortos and some porting and a nice camshaft.

It would be helpfull with links to sites that sell part for these old cars. Haven't been able to find anything so far. I need new ball joints, tie rod ends and door rubber and window felt channels. Also front diskcs and pads. Rubber should be NOS, or mint used parts. Part numbers for the front end parts would also help allot.

Yes, it is badged like a rotary. The previous owner was going to install a 12A, but never got to it.

Thanks

Beautiful Mazda Luce. I think you will find it hard to find parts and you may need to adapt parts from newer vehicles. The classifieds on this forum can be helpful as well. There used to be a great website that had heaps of info on these cars and collections of images but has been removed in the last few years. Does yours have an engine? Looks pretty high at the front.

Agree, the VW wheels seem to suit these really well.

104 did you change the brakes over to wide 5 VW items of some kind or have some adaptors machined up?

PSI:100 Thanks for comment.

Brakes are no change,original.
I have the adapter for pitch conversion.
Incidentally,wheel size is 15inch/5J/205pitch.

By the way,i'm not good at English.
Therefore please forgive me even if it's a strange sentences.

Cheers!!

Hi 104,

Your BRM wheels looks great to the Luce. May I know where can I buy the wheel adapter? Can you please advise. Thanks
